Weather Tidbits: Combating the Weather through Home Remedies

This Weather Tidbits is unique in that it deals with how to deal with certain types of weather using household items. They are 2 ways to deice, the 1st is mixing 2/3 rubbing alcohol and 1/3 water in a container and then sprinkle it towards your windshields, windows, mirrors & doors. The 2nd method is using rock salt which is usually applied on sidewalks and driveways. The only problem to using rock salt is that as temperatures decrease, the less effective it becomes. All you need is cooking spray & a shovel, to loosen up a hard pile of wet snow. Lastly, shaving cream is useful when defogging your windshield, which creates a protective coating and can even help with your mirrors at home.
