The Ocean City Film Festival is back in town for it’s 4th year

OCEAN CITY, Md. — Lights, Camera, Action! The red carpet is rolling out in old Hollywood fashion, as the 4th Annual Ocean City Film Festival kicks off.

47 ABC’s Erica Murphy was joined by the film festival’s artistic director, B.L. Strang -Moya , to give more insight.

The Ocean City Film Festival is bringing more than 100 independent films all over the beach town for the fourth year in a row. Strang-Moya says the films’ locations range from ocean City to as far as Australia. He says from the late mornings through the evening, films will be shown.

Strang-Moya says, the four-day scheduled event starts on Thursday, March 5th through to Sunday, March 8th. He says they’re kicking things off with a Hollywood-inspired party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, at the Residence Inn at 300 Seabay Lane in Ocean City. It’s best to look the part because he says the paparazzi will be there.

Strang-Moya also mentions that each day they will have a “networking opportunity for like-minded people who are really into films.” According to him, a lot of filmmakers are coming to town to offer who will engage their audience with Q & A’s following screenings.

Tickets to the opening night party are $25. Party admission is included with the $99 Film Festival all-access four-day pass. A regular four-day-film-only pass is $65 and a one-day-film-only pass is $20. Tickets are available at OCMDFilmFestival.com or by calling 410-524-9433.
