Talbot Co. Public Schools taking preventative measures in light of coronavirus outbreak

EASTON, Md. – In light of the current coronavirus outbreak, Talbot County Public Schools have decided to take additional preventative measures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff, students, and community members.

Effective Friday, March 13th, all indoor after school and weekend events are open to the public, spectator attendance at outdoor athletic events will be discouraged, and officials will be thoroughly reviewing approval of building use requests from our community partners.

“Please trust that the decisions made concerning the handling of COVID-19 within TCPS will be consistent with our values — placing health and safety above all — and will represent our best judgement as we adapt to this rapidly changing situation,” said Superintendent Dr. Kelly Griffith. “I appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience as we navigate this uncharted territory.”
