Somerset Co. officials issue emergency declaration, announces additional actions to slow spread of COVID-19

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Somerset County Government has issued an Emergency Declaration and announced additional actions being taken to protect the public and limit the spread of COVID-19.

The county began operating on a modified schedule at 8 a.m. today, and will continue to do so until further notice. Only essential employees are required to report to County buildings; the rest will work from home.

In addition, the Great Hope Golf Course and the Caddyshack Restaurant are closed to the public. The Somerset County Landfill and Transfer Stations will operate on a limited schedule.
