Second Coronavirus case confirmed in Accomack County
ACCOMACK CO., Va. – Health officials with the Eastern Shore Health District have confirmed the second case of Coronavirus on Virginia’s Eastern Shore.
Officials say the second case is a man in his 60s, who was a travel companion of the first confirmed case in the area. Officials did not release any other details about the man, but said they are now investigating the case and any potential exposure the man may have had.
In a release, the Health District wrote, “We cannot emphasize enough the importance of social distancing. As the number of cases continues to grow so will the number of close contacts who may have been exposed to the virus.”
Symptoms of the Coronavirus include fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.
