Salisbury University to host production of ‘The Vagina Monologues’

SALISBURY, Md. – Students at Salisbury University are gearing up for their special production of The Vagina Monologues.

The play, which will take place at Holloway Hall on Friday, aims to promote female empowerment and individuality.

People in the community like the President of Salisbury PFLAG Mark DeLancey will be panelists.

DeLancey says the production will talk about lesbian women.

He says right now conversations about the LGBTQ community and women’s rights have become more socially acceptable. So, this year’s production will dive deeper into those issues.

“Anytime we that we can bring education to the forefront on raising awareness about local and social issues is always a plus,” said DeLancey.

The event will take place this Friday at 7 PM. Tickets are 5 dollars for students and 10 dollars for non-students.

All proceeds collected at the event will go towards Life Crisis.
