Operation We Care donates to Wico. first responders

SALISBURY, Md. – Operation We Care is collecting donations to give out to first responders who are working around the clock – to fight the spread of COVID-19.
The packages are made up of snacks and things that workers can use during their shift that might be hard to grab while constantly working.
Since Marylanders can’t gather in large groups right now, it’s challenging for Operation We Care to send out a large number of packages.
The Co-founder Jeff Merritt tells 47ABC that’s not going to stop them, as they plan to distribute over a thousand packages by next month.

Merritt says “These men and women are just working so hard, and they don’t get the recognition and appreciation that they deserve for working these long hours and taking risks that a lot of us don’t have to take and they’re really on the front lines for us and we appreciate it.”
