Nascar weekend at Dover International Speedway postponed
DOVER, Del. – NASCAR announces on Monday that Dover International Speedway’s tripleheader weekend, scheduled for May 1-3, has been postponed due to the coronavirus.
“The health and safety of our fans, industry and the communities in which we race is our most important priority, so in accordance with recent CDC guidance, NASCAR is currently postponing all race events through May 3, with plans to return racing in Martinsville,” NASCAR said in a statement.
We’re told that Speedway officials are working with NASCAR to schedule potential makeup dates for the three weekend races, including the NASCAR Cup Series race on Sunday, May 3rd, the NASCAR Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash race on Saturday, May 2nd, and the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series race on Friday, May 1st.

As of now, Dover’s August 21-23 NASCAR tripleheader weekend remains on as scheduled.
