Md. universities working on partial refunds of student fees due to closures
BALTIMORE, Md. – The University System of Maryland says they are working to award partial refunds to students attending schools in their system, as a result of the COVID-19 related closures and distance learning measures.
We’re told that each university will soon announce policies regarding the fair adjustment of a number of student fees, including room and board, parking, and athletics costs. Refunds or fees will be calculated by each institution on a prorated basis.
This includes Salisbury University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Students will soon receive information regarding refunds.
