ANNAPOLIS, Md. – As we approach the upcoming presidential primary, both Maryland and Delaware State Board of Elections say they’ll be monitoring the coronavirus in order to protect voters and election workers. Right now, officials are speaking regularly with federal and state health agencies to monitor developments of the virus. Early voting for the upcoming election starts on April 16th, and the actual election day is scheduled for April 28th. Election officials say if needed, they will establish any appropriate safeguards to minimize risks for both those voters and election workers. They add that residents are encouraged to visit here for the most up-to-date information on the virus as well.
