Local gym offering virtual training sessions amid pandemic

SALISBURY, Md- One More Rep, a 7,200 square foot training facility in Salisbury, has found a new way to train their athletes amid the coronavirus epidemic.

With many gyms around the world electing to show their clients mass videos, owner and head trainer JD Cherry has moved to interactive one on one training sessions with their athletes via FaceTime or the Zoom app. “Its a little more entertaining for the client,” said Cherry, “they have to keep up with what I’m telling them and they have to keep up with me.”

One of Cherry’s first virtual clients is Salisbury University freshman softball star Maddison Lednum. Lednum’s season was cut short when the NCAA cancelled the remainder of the 2020 season amid the outbreak. “It wouldn’t benefit me not to be doing anything,” said Lednum, “its good that he’s doing this,I feel like the one on one’s are more specialized for me and what I do.”
