Latino businesses in Delaware host drive-thru food giveaway

MILFORD, Del. – In Milford, several Latino businesses are teaming up to give out free bagged breakfasts to kids in the community during these trying times.

Bibi’s Restaurant & Bar, Gigante International Food Market, Patty’s Nectars, La Molienda, El Chilar and Coastal Concrete Works are among the different businesses working together.

On Monday, nearly 300 meals got handed out at the drive-thru event to kids and their families.

Organizers say there is a huge need in the community and while business is struggling they are doing everything they can to help out.

“If we’re open and we’re getting, not as much the business, but we are getting some, so we can keep our employees, my co-workers working, we can give back what we’re getting as well,” said Sandra Soto, manager at Bibi’s Restaurant & Bar.

Organizers tell us they will continue to give out free breakfast to kids in the community next Monday between 9 AM and 11 AM at Bibi’s Restaurant & Bar in Milford.
