Hornets end Hawks season in MEAC opener

NORFOLK, Va- The Maryland Eastern Shore men’s basketball program’s season came to an end on Tuesday evening, falling 68-64 to Delaware State at the MEAC tournament in Norfolk, VA.

John Crosby finished with a game-high 24 points, including 8-8 from the free throw line. Reserve Myles Carter scored 21 points in 35 minutes off the bench in the win.

For UMES, AJ Cheeseman finished with a team-high 19 points and 8 rebounds, while fellow senior Cannan Bartley finished with 17.
