King Jr. shares story of leaving Bulgaria amid Coronavirus pandemic

SALISBURY, Md- Salisbury native Jamaal King Jr. enjoyed success in his first season as a professional basketball player in Bulgaria.

After four successful years at St. Francis (PA), King signed on to play for Chernomorets in the National Basketball League.

When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, King and some of his teammates we’re quickly aided back to America. “First flight home. As soon as they cancelled the season, my team got me on the first flight back home.” Now back home, King is staying in shape jogging and doing calisthenics at home amid the outbreak in any way that he can. “You just got to do what you can in this type time.”
