Early morning mobile home fire displaces family in Lewes

LEWES, Del. – Delaware fire officials say an early morning fire damaged a mobile home and displaced a family of five on Wednesday.

The fire was reportedly shortly after 5 a.m., in the 17000 block of Evette Lane. The Lewes Fire Department responded to the scene, as well as mutual aid fire companies.

State fire investigators have determined that the fire was accidental and was caused by an electrical malfunction. Fire damage has been estimated at $15,000. No injuries were reported, and the Red Cross is assisting the victims.
