Delaware State Park campgrounds, playgrounds to close on Tuesday

DOVER, Del. – Out of an abundance of caution with the spread of the coronavirus, the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control will close all Delaware State Park campgrounds and playgrounds beginning on Tuesday.

In addition, all campground reservations scheduled through May 15th will be canceled. Full refunds will be issued for reservations scheduled during that time.

State parks and wildlife areas will remain open. Buildings such as park offices and nature centers remain closed, and programs and tours are canceled. Beach access at Cape Henlopen, Delaware Seashore, and Fenwick Island state parks is prohibited, however parking and fishing at the Indian River Inlet within Delaware Seashore State Park is allowed at this time.
