Delaware extends personal tax filing date to July 15th
DELAWARE – Delaware will extend the deadline for Delaware taxpayers to file their 2019 personal income tax to July 15th, 2020.
The Delaware Division of Revenue (DOR) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will remain open, they encourage taxpayers to continue to file their state and federal returns electronically or by mail.
The DOR says their public windows are currently closed, but you can still ask questions through email, the staff will respond by e-mail or phone. They plan to process returns but taxpayers with complex returns, filing errors, or paper submissions may experience delays.
If you’re unable to meet the July 15th deadline, you may file an extension request online by July 15th, by email at DOR_PublicService@delaware.gov, or through their tax preparer.
