Del. Department of Natural Resources announces update on operations during COVID-19 outbreak

DOVER, Del. – The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has announced updates to their operations during the current outbreak of the coronavirus.

All Department events and programs scheduled through May 15th have been canceled, consistent with the Governor’s State of Emergency order. This includes private rentals and events at Delaware State Parks sites and facilities, such as picnics, 5Ks, and parties. Officials are notifying organizers of events directly.

All state parks and wildlife areas are open to the public, and no entrance fees will be charged through April 30th. Annual park passes and surf fishing tags should be purchased online only. In addition, all state park campsites, cabins, bathhouses, and cottages are open at this time, however there will be at least a one-day break between rental period of cabins and cottages to allow for thorough cleaning between guests.

Public hearings will be available via phone or video conference.
