Del. coronavirus cases rise to 38, Md. up to 149
DELMARVA – Positive coronavirus cases are continuing to rise across the region.
As of 1 p.m. Friday, Delaware was up to a total 0f 38 positive cases, with 27 in New Castle County, five in Kent County, and six in Sussex County.
In Maryland, a total of 149 cases have been confirmed. The majority of those cases are on the Western Shore, however, three have been confirmed on the Eastern Shore. The state has also confirmed the first infant and first teenager case.
Maryland Governor Larry Hogan spoke about the current situation on Friday, asking all returning spring break travelers to self-quarantine for the next 14 days, and to avoid people over the age of 60. He is also urging citizens to avoid all playgrounds, pavilions, and anywhere that groups of more than 10 people may congregate.
