Crisfield routs Pocomoke, advances to East Region II final

CRISFIELD, Md.- For the third time this season, Crisfield defeated Pocomoke and this time it results in their second straight regional final appearance. The Crabbers defeated Pocomoke 81-56 ending the Warriors season with a record of 19-5.

After their last match up ended on a buzzer beater from Christian Waters at Pocomoke, it looked like this was going to be a classic playoff game. It was tied 3-3 to in the first minute of the game after Christian Waters and Charles Finney traded threes. After being tied at five, the Crabbers began to force turnover after turnover and converted them to points. Crisfield took the 26-12 lead after the first quarter and then exploded in the second quarter to take the 46-24 lead at the break. The player of the fist half, Jaron Smith. Smith hit four threes in the half finishing with 19 first half points.

In the second half, it was much of the same story. The Crabbers kept the press on all game and never let their lead get lower than 19. With the win, Crisfield advances to the East Region II final at Cambridge on Thursday.
