Coons says relief bill could be on President’s desk in days
SALISBURY, Md. – A two-trillion dollar Coronavirus relief bill could be on President Donald Trump’s desk by the end of this week.
That’s according to Delaware Senator Chris Coons, who says the bill has strong bipartisan support. The bill would send over a thousand dollars to many Americans who are struggling to get through the pandemic in an effort to help the American economy.
Senator Coons says that while Americans can expect checks sent directly to them, that’s not the most helpful part of the bill.
“The much more immediate support folks will see is the $350 billion to small businesses like hotels and restaurants that will give them the incentive to either keep people on pay roll or rehire people,” he said.
Senator Coons says anyone who wants more details about the exact breakdown of the bill can find details on his website.
