Celebrating International Women’s Day

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – In Rehoboth Beach, women from across Sussex County came together on Sunday to celebrate International Women’s Day.

The event called Girls Day Out took place at the Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center on Sunday.

Several women leaders in the community took the podium to talk about health empowerment, leadership and more.

They also talked about equality and celebrated the passage of the 19th amendment.

“I hope that we’ll inspire everyone to make a difference in their community because together and collectively we are much stronger,” said the Executive Director of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation, Patti Grimes.

Organizers say events like this one are critical so more people feel inspired to make a difference in their communities.
