Cape Henlopen School District offering meals for students during COVID-19 closure

MILTON, Del. – The Cape Henlopen School District is offering free “Grab & Go” breakfast and lunches for children 18 years of age and under beginning Wednesday, March 18th.

We’re told that deliveries will be available Monday through Friday at the following locations and times:

  • Shields Elementary: 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
  • Peddlers Village: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Rehoboth Walmart: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Whispering Pines: 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
  • Midway Movies: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Cool Spring Dollar General: 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • Kings Market at Cedar Creek: 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
  • Slaughter Neck: 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

In addition, the following community partner locations have been announced:

  • Westside New Beginnings (19801 Norwood Street, Rehoboth Beach): Wednesdays & Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children only.
  • Faith United Methodist Church (19940 Church Street, Rehoboth Beach): Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children and families.
  • Food Bank of Delaware Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry (CrossRoads Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown): Thursday, March 19th at 11 a.m. Available for families on this date only.
