BVSPCA offers support for pets amid COVID-19 pandemic
GEORGETOWN, Del. – With schools and other places closing temporarily amid coronavirus fears the Brandywine Valley SPCA is offering help to the community.
The organization announced resources will be made available to the community related to the virus.
While pets are not directly at risk they may be impacted in other ways, according to Brandywine Valley SPCA.
That is why the organization is now expanding access to pet food at any of its campuses during normal business hours.
They are also offering temporary employment in the areas of animal care and adoption assistance.
“We have an awesome community who has really helped us out finding homes for animals whether it’s fostering and anything like that and so we want to help out the community the best that we can and kind of offer back,” said Bailey Wingate, adoption counselor at the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
