Three-Peat Complete: WiHi runs past Cambridge for third-straight Bayside crown
SALISBURY, Md. – WiHi boys basketball continued their run of Bayside dominance, defeating Cambridge-South Dorchester at the Civic Center Tuesday night, 78-64.
WiHi raced to a 6-0 lead, but the Vikings fought back to take a 3-point edge with seconds remaining in the first.
Taiwan Hardy took the final inbound of the quarter, banking a running 3-pointer as the clock expired to tie things up heading to the second.
The Indians offense erupted in the second quarter for 25 points, taking a 13 point lead to halftime.
That lead would balloon to 20 in the second half, but was slashed down to single digits in the final minutes with WiHi’s second string players on the floor.
Antwan Wilson led WiHi with 18 points, Jordan Butler added 16, and Hardy finished with 11.
Vejon Ashley led Cambridge-South Dorchester with 20.
