Suspect arrested in connection to October 2019 robbery
DOVER, Del. -Delaware State Police have arrested a Dover man in connection to a robbery that happened back in October.
On October 23rd at around 7:45 p.m., a 74-year-old female and her 78-year-old husband were driving home from a restaurant in Dover when an unknown suspect suddenly sat up in the backseat of their vehicle and asked them to stop. The suspect and male victim got into a brief struggle over the female’s purse that the suspect stole from the front seat. Both victims were able to get out of the vehicle and realized the suspect was no longer inside.
Further investigation led police to identify 41-year-old Kevin Hines of Dover as the suspect. On Monday, Hines was taken into custody at Dover Probation and Parole and charged with two counts of first degree robbery. He was committed to SCI on $100,000 secured bond.
