Second suspect arrested in year-old murder case

DOVER, Del. – A second suspect is facing charges in a murder that happened in January of 2019.

Police say on Friday just after 4 o’clock, 23-year-old Jaquell McDonald was seen walking on Walker Road in Dover.

McDonald was wanted in connection with the January 2019 killing of 30-year-old Jesse Stanford.

Back on February 14th, police arrested the first suspect in the killing, 25-year-old Cahlil Simmons.

Both McDonald and Simmons now face first degree murder charges.
