Route 90 to close during overnight hours next week

BERLIN, Md. – Those traveling on Route 90 during the overnight hours will experience some closures next week.

According to officials, the closures will be in effect while the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) performs maintenance and repairs to guard rail, lighting, and overhead signage on Route 90 between Route 50 and Route 528. This work will require the complete closure of one direction of Route 90 each night.

The closure schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday, February 11th: from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., eastbound Route 90 will be closed to all traffic between 50 and 528
• Wednesday, February 12th: from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., westbound Route 90 will be closed to all traffic between 50 and 528

Thursday, February 13th will be used as a weather contingency date, if needed.
