Police: Man robs liquor store at gunpoint, flees on foot

SMYRNA, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed liquor store robbery that happened on Friday Saturday night in Smyrna.

Police say it happened just before 10:00 on Saturday night, when a gunman entered the Spruance City Liquor Store on Smyrna Clayton Boulevard.

Police say the suspect pointed a handgun at an employee who gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect then fled on foot.
