Organization urges advocacy for trafficking bill
SALISBURY, Md. – An organization based out of Salisbury is doing what they can to get to get the issue of sex trafficking taught in schools.
Kevin and Kim Hendricks, who work with the eastern shore human trafficking task force and prevention project, are urging people to call their state delegates to support house bill 575.
Their organization is also asking people to testify in support of the bill next week on February 13.
“Human trafficking or sex trafficking is the second largest, fastest growing criminal enterprise and it’s affecting, statistics say, from 11-14, 12-14, but it’s affecting our youth right here in the state of Maryland,” Kevin Hendricks said.
Kevin and Kim both say they plan to testify next week.
