One woman shot in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Del.- In Georgetown, police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday morning.

Delaware State Police said when EMS showed up to the 100 block of Garden Circle they found a 39-year-old woman in an orange Toyota Tacoma suffering from a gunshot wound.

Troopers said the car had damage to the front side passenger window that looked like it was from a gunshot.

The female was transported to the Sussex Bayhealth Hospital and then transferred to the Christiana Hospital in serious condition.

Police said there is no suspect information at this time.

The investigation is still ongoing.
