Local dog finds missing Salisbury Zoo statue
SALISBURY, Md. – The search for the stolen Salisbury Zoo statue is over, and we have a four-legged friend to thank. Around 8:00 Saturday morning, April Todd and her dog, Ghost, were walking near the Salisbury dog park when Ghost sniffed out the statue and immediately recognized that something was out of place. Todd tells 47 ABC she quickly called the Salisbury Police Department who have been searching for the stolen statue since Thursday. Police say right now no suspects have been identified at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
Ghost released an “official” statement regarding his recent find saying, “He loves the City of Salisbury and wants to keep it beautiful and vandal free. He is glad that someone made the right choice to return it. He enjoys his daily walks around the zoo and is grateful that the statue will be returned for all to enjoy.”
