Harrington sex offender arrested for failing to verify address

HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police have arrested a sex offender who reportedly failed to verify his address as required.

Police say they were contacted by the Delaware State Police Sex Offender Unit back in December, learning that 38-year-old Clark Abbott failed to verify his address that month. Abbott is a Tier 2 Sex Offender and is required to verify his address every June and December.

A warrant was obtained for Abbott, who was taken into custody at his place of employment in Seaford. He was charged with one count of failure to register, re-register, or provide verification as a sex offender as required, and was released on his own recognizance.
