Ellendale man arrested on drugs, weapons charges
MILTON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested an Ellendale man Tuesday afternoon following a traffic stop.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a trooper observed a vehicle sitting at the traffic light at the intersection of Fisher Road and Lewes-Georgetown Highway. A computer check revealed that the vehicle’s registration was suspended, and a traffic stop was initiated. On contact with the driver, 26-year-old Charles Randall, an odor of marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a loaded handgun, 11 rounds of bullets, approximately 11.66 grams of crack/powder cocaine, approximately 36.19 grams of marijuana, assorted narcotic pills, drug paraphernalia, and more than $90 in suspected drug money.
Randall was arrested on numerous drug and weapons related charges, as well as charges relating to his suspended vehicle registration. He was held at SCI on $101,003 secured bond.
