Easton mourns the death of town council President

EASTON, md. — The town of Easton is mourning the loss of it’s former Town Council President John Ford.

Ford passed away this morning.

Not much is known yet about the cause of death but officials from the county say Ford did have a stroke a few months ago.

We’re told the impact that Ford made on the town and it’s people will live ON forever.

For now , town officials just want to send their condolences to Ford’s family.

“We’re mourning this loss as John was instrumental in many aspects of the community. The prayers and sympathies of the entire town and surrounding area are with John’s family at this time. We request that all are respectful of the privacy and grieving over the next few days,”  says Robert Willey, Mayor of the Town of Easton.

Organizations like the Eastern Shore Association of Municipalities took to social media to express their condolences saying “on behalf of the 56 Municipalities of the Eastern shore, we send our heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Town of Easton and the Ford Family”.
