DSP arrest Milford man on DUI and drug charges

HARRINGTON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Milford man on multiple charges Sunday evening after he was found driving under the influence with a weapon and drugs in his possession.

At around 5:40 p.m., troopers were called to the area of Beebe Road and Woodyard Road for a report of a Ford F-150 blocking the roadway. On arrival, police found 23-year-old Brian Holben sitting in the driver’s seat, who appeared to be confused and disoriented. A DUI investigation was launched, and a computer check revealed that Holben’s license was suspended and that he was prohibited from possessing a weapon or ammunition. It was also learned that the truck was not registered and that the registration had been altered.

Holben was taken into custody and a search of the vehicle was conducted, leading to the discovery of a 12 gauge shotgun, shotgun ammunition, approximately 10.99 grams of marijuana, approximately 10.19 grams of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia.

He was held at SCI on $62,700 secured bond on a list of DUI, weapons, and drug related charges, as well as registration and traffic violations.
