Dorchester Co. teen arrested for making terroristic threat on social media

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies have charged a juvenile after learning of threatening messages posted to social media.

According to police, a North Dorchester High School student received a Snap Chat message regarding a possible threat being made to carry out a shooting at the school Monday morning. The Sheriff’s office was able to identify the suspect as a 16-year-old male student at the school, who was taken into custody at his residence. Police say no weapons were found during a search of the residence.

We’re told the suspect is being uncooperative with authorities at this time. He has been charged with threat of mass violence and disturbing school activities, and is currently awaiting action by juvenile authorities.
