Dog awarded “Goodest Boy Award” after finding missing statue

SALISBURY, Md. – The goodest boy in Salisbury! That’s the title one dog earned on Monday after finding a statue stolen from the zoo.

On Saturday, April Todd and her dog Ghost were walking near the Salisbury dog park when Ghost sniffed out the missing heron statue. The statue had been missing for a few days after police say it was stolen five days before. Todd says she’s proud of Ghost and the work he put in to find the statue.

“It’s a big honor and we just want to recognize that dogs do incredible things and ghost as a rescue especially it means a lot, it’s nice for people to be able to see a good story about a dog,” Todd said.

Police say they still don’t have any suspects and anyone with information is asked to contact them.
