Del. Governor declares February as Black History Month in the First State

DELAWARE – Governor John Carney signed a proclamation on Monday, declaring February as Black History Month in the First State.

He was surrounded by what he calls the incredible women of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. The opening of an exhibit at the Delaware Public Archives highlighting the sorority and their role in the women’s suffrage movement was also announced.
