Crisfield Lions Club installs nearly 80 flags for President’s Day
CRISFIELD, Md. – On Monday, nearly 80 American flags were installed in and around the city of Crisfield in honor of President’s Day.
Five members of the Crisfield Lions Club installed these flags at around 6:30 AM.
Members of the Crisfield Lions Club say this decades-old tradition is a chance for members to show some American pride in the crab capital of the world.
“You get a sense of American pride and you ride by the main highway and by all the businesses and you see every business has an American flag,” said Jesse Drewer, the vice president of the Crisfield Lions Club.
“It brings a sense of small-town community American patriotism,” said Drewer.
The Crisfield Lions Club says they hope that traditions like this one will attract more people to join their club and support their community moving forward.
