Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center to expand programs
EASTON, Md. – The Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center, which supports thousands of immigrants across Delmarva, is getting ready for new growth.
The center is now in its planning stages to expand programs that benefit the community.
This comes after the nonprofit moved into a bigger location last year.
The new space will have room for things like English classes, free legal consultations, free citizenship classes and more.
“We’re really located to where a lot of our families are within walking distance, so to turn it into something where they’ll feel very comfortable to use more often and they can use it for their own types of meetings, knowing that it’s their space, that they can use it whenever they want, I think that’s going to be one of the biggest impacts we have,” said Matthew Peters, director at the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center.
Peters says the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center is seeking for help to push their new project forward.
