Caroline Co. house fire ruled accidental

GOLDSBORO, Md. – Maryland fire officials say a fire that broke out at a Caroline County home over the weekend was accidental.

We’re told the fire was reported at around 8 a.m. Saturday, at a home on Union Road. Investigation has revealed that the fire started in a rear bedroom as a result of an electrical failure. The occupant was alerted to the fire quickly and was able to escape without injury.

Heavy fire damage has been estimated at $130,000. The occupants have been displaced as a result of the fire.
