40 snow geese found dead on road in Cordova

CORDOVA, Md. – Authorities say they found 40 dead Snow Geese on a Talbot County road over the weekend.

Maryland Natural Resources Police are currently searching for whoever is responsible for killing the geese and leaving them on a road in Cordova. Police say they were called to the scene to investigate at around 7:45 p.m. Sunday evening.

We’re told that while there is a daily bag limit on snow geese, the main focus of the investigation is the improper disposal of an animal corpse, which is a criminal form of littering.

The investigation is ongoing.
