Weekend house fire under investigation in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. — Maryland State Fire Officials are investigating a house fire fire that broke out in Salisbury Saturday night.

Officials say the blaze broke out shortly after 10 p.m., at a home on Manoa Boulevard.  Officials the Salisbury Fire Department placed the fire under control in one hour.

Fire officials say a smoke alarm was present but did not activate. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it has been determined that the fire started in the living room. Fire damage has been estimated at $80,000.
