Two arrested on multiple charges following drug investigation

HARBESON, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested two people after wrapping up a six month long drug investigation in Harbeson.

We’re told the investigation wrapped up on Thursday, when members of the Sussex Drug Unit and Governor’s Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant at the target residence, located in the 28000 block of Woodcrest Drive. Officers made contact with the primary occupant of the residence, 67-year-old Gladys Sampson, and 40-year-old Tomaris White of Georgetown. White was seen running towards the bathroom, trying to dispose of crack cocaine.

The search resulted in the seizure of the following:

  • Approximately 14.46 grams of crack cocaine
  • Approximately 41.21 grams of powder cocaine
  • Approximately 6.12 grams of marijuana
  • Two boxes of 12 gauge slugs
  • A .380 round of ammunition
  • Drug paraphernalia, including items used to manufacture drugs
  • More than $2,000 in suspected drug money

Police say Sampson is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing ammunition. She was charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, second degree conspiracy, maintaining a drug property, possession of ammo by a prohibited person, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a $19,850 unsecured bond.

White was charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity, second degree conspiracy, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held at SCI on $17,250 secured bond.
