Town of Frankford adds new security cameras to park

FRANKFORD, Del. – New security cameras are now up and running at the Frankford Town Park to help improve public safety.

According to town officials, the cameras got installed just days ago.

This comes after several reports were made about loitering and drug use in and around the area during the past couple of months.

Town officials say part of the funding for new cameras came from a state grant.

Frankford Police Chief Laurence Corrigan says he will have access to security footage, which is big help for a one-man police agency.

“I have the ability to bring up those, capture those images, remotely on my cell phone, which to me is highly critical, especially being in a one-band agency,” said Frankford Police Chief Laurence Corrigan.

Residents say the new installation of security cameras is good news for families who enjoy spending time at their local park.
