Three arrested following robbery investigation in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Georgetown Police arrested three people Monday afternoon on robbery and other charges.

According to police, at around 12:55 p.m., a robbery was reported at the Western Union in the 100 block of North Race Street. On arrival, officers made contact with the victims, who reported that they were inside the apartment complex when they were approached by three subjects. The subjects then reportedly began assaulting the victims, stealing a wallet from one of the victims before fleeing in a vehicle.

Officers obtained suspect descriptions as well as the vehicle description, and were able to stop the suspect vehicle in the area of Depot Street a short time later. 29-year-old Kyle Lynch, 30-year-old Daniel Santana, and 35-year-old Rebecca Russell were all taken into custody.

Each suspect was charged with second degree robbery, third degree assault, and conspiracy, and were held at SCI on an $8,000 secured bond.
