String of search warrants results in nine arrests in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested nine people on Friday following the execution of two search warrants.

We’re told both warrants were executed at around 4:45 p.m. The first warrant was executed at a residence in the 100 block of S. New Street and resulted in the arrest of 52-year-old Joseph Brown and 21-year-old John Baker. Brown was found to be in possession of 1 gram of heroin, 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, two oxycodone pills, packaging materials, and $635 in cash. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone), and drug paraphernalia, and was later released on his own recognizance. Baker was held at SCI on a violation of probation charge that he was reportedly wanted on at the time of arrest.

The second search warrant was executed at a home in the unit block of S. New Street. This search resulted in the seizure of 250 grams of marijuana, two handguns, digital scales, and packing materials. Seven people were taken into custody as a result of this search:

  • 24-year-old Kinon Teat Jr. was charged with two counts of possession of a firearm/ammo by person prohibited, tampering with physical evidence, and violation of probation. He was held at SCI on a $25,000 cash bond.
  • 28-year-old Jazzman Bolden was released after being charged with maintaining a drug property, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, second degree conspiracy, and drug paraphernalia.
  • 26-year-old Derrick Wilcox Jr. was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, second degree conspiracy, drug paraphernalia, and local fugitive. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • 24-year-old Terry Bolden Jr was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • 24-year-old Jeremiah Hampton was charged with possession of firearm by person prohibited, tampering with physical evidence, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
  • 21-year-old Tazz Bogle was released after being charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
  • Derek Johnson Jr. was released after being charged with possession of marijuana and resisting arrest after attempting to flee on food as police made entry to the residence.
