Shots fired incident under investigation in Felton

FELTON, Del. – Delaware State Police say they are continuing to investigate a shooting incident that happened Sunday evening in Felton.

We’re told the incident happened just before 6 p.m., in the 1300 block of Barney Jenkins Road.  Further investigation revealed that a fight had been communicated through social media as a result of an ongoing feud, and that 15-25 people had shown up to witness the fight. The 19-year-old female victim and another 19-year-old female reportedly got into a verbal altercation, when a male wearing a disguise pulled out a gun and fired multiple rounds. Multiple fights broke out as a result, and the female victim was hit by gunfire.

We’re told the victim remains in critical condition. There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.
