Rehoboth Beach officer recognized for saving man from choking

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – A Rehoboth Beach officer is being recognized for saving a man’s life while he was choking.

Seasonal officer Cole Revel was honored by the American Red Cross, as he received the Lifesaving Award for Extraordinary Personal Action, after he responded to the area of Wilmington Avenue and the boardwalk for a subject choking back on August 29th. He saved the 18-year-old victim.

The Lifesaving Award is the highest award given to someone who saves another’s life outside of the medical setting.
